"I am pleased to announce that a feasibility study will be undertaken to look at the possibility of establishing a Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre in around 10 years' time, looking at how the whole issue of rehabilitation should be developed in 21st century terms."
^^ Correct me if I am wrong, but according to the Gregorian calendar we are already in the 21st century are we not? And what's with a "feasibility study" to look at the "possibility"? and if that study goes ahead and says in 2020 that it is possible, then in what stardate is it likely to happen? Yup, our Governminted are committed all right, committed to planning ahead in order to avoid doing what they should be doing now! I bet if T minus 11 years was a golf course our golf loving undermining Minister against Veterans would be on it in a shank.
"An external benefactor has agreed to sponsor this feasibility work. This continues a long and distinguished tradition of charitable involvement in the care of injured service personnel, including in this context the work of the Headley Court Trust, Help for Heroes, SSAFA, BLESMA and Brain Injury and Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT), to name only a few."
^^ A long and distinguished tradition of Government failing on the Covenant.
More charity = more government failure. [show less]

"The Government offers three arguments against the change:
• that it would be retrospective;
• that it would cost too much;
• that it would be unfair." http://ukdf.blogspot.c...-of_05.html
I think it's unfair not to award a retrospective increase because it's wrong to consider one life given in service less valuable than another. [show less]
